A recent study has found that covering your nose and mouth significantly decreased the chance of infection.

It was previously believed that wearing a mask would only prevent a sick person transmitting the virus to others.

Scotland’s First Minister reminds us that face coverings are now mandatory in shops and on public transport, with the exceptions of children under five and certain health conditions. 

The Police have been given the power to enforce this new legislation.
